Aftermarket Service Technician I Job Description:
Performs various repair, assembly, sub-assembly, cleaning, and coating operations in an aftermarket production area requiring general physical dexterity, machine monitoring, inspecting, and data collection. Responsibilities include:
Evaluate returned units to determine scope of repair.
Operate machine tools and welding shop cutting equipment.
Perform non-destructive testing, inspection, and disassembly.
Update inspection information and process steps in PGN.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Manage work-in-progress areas for inspection, disposition, and job generation.
Execute and document scrap orders.
Make recommendations to improve processes within the department.
Aftermarket Service Technician I Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent with at least five (5) years industrial condition monitoring, repair, or reliability services experience, or an Associate’s Degree with three (3) years’ experience, or equivalent.
Five (5) years of assembly experience or equivalent combination.
Working knowledge of rotating machinery operations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Clear written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented.
Mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of welding, metal fabrication, electrical, and pipe fitting.
Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings, manuals, and assembly procedures.
Ability to make simple outline drawings to assist with quoting, engineering, and reassembly.
