Customer Service Specialist
Location: On-site | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $29.22/hour
Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth experience from order to invoice? We're looking for a Customer Service Specialist who will be the key point of contact for our customers, coordinating with internal teams to guarantee seamless support and satisfaction at every stage.
About the Role
In this role, you'll manage the full customer journey—from processing orders to handling inquiries and resolving issues. You'll work cross-functionally with teams like Sales, IT, Finance, Logistics, and Quality to ensure customer needs are met with precision and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate customer and product master data to streamline order processing and billing
Process incoming orders (email, fax, EDI), verifying item details, pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules
Respond to customer inquiries and concerns with a solution-oriented mindset
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
Prepare and submit monthly broker commission reports
Manage sample shipments based on Account Manager instructions
Create required export documentation, including certificates
Support collection efforts on outstanding accounts receivable
Archive relevant documentation and maintain organized records
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
What You Bring
Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus
Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) is required
College degree or equivalent experience
Background in operations, ideally in the food industry
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Sharp attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach
Strong customer service orientation with the ability to resolve issues effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly
Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
