Job Description:
Inspect welds and welding processes to ensure conformance with applicable standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, API).
Review and verify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ).
Conduct visual weld inspections and interpret radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing as applicable.
Maintain inspection logs, generate detailed reports, and document non-conformances.
Monitor welder performance and provide guidance to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and quality assurance teams to resolve welding-related issues.
Ensure that welding materials, equipment, and techniques used comply with approved procedures.
Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations related to welding inspection.
Job Requirements:
AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required.
Minimum of [X] years of experience in welding inspection or related field.
Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, API 1104).
Experience with various NDT methods is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inspection software/tools.
