Position Overview:
The Financial Clerk is responsible for managing and analyzing purchasing data to ensure financial accuracy, identify spending trends, and recommend strategies for cost optimization. This role involves organizing purchasing information, validating transactions, and seeking opportunities for cost savings.
Financial Clerk Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30AM-4:30PM, 1 hour lunch, onsite.
- Pay Rate: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
- Type: Contract with Opportunity to go Permanent!
Financial ClerkJob Description:
- Collect and reconcile credit card statements with receipts and invoices, categorizing purchases (e.g., groceries, travel, office supplies) for accurate tracking.
- Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, compare prices for recurring purchases, and negotiate with vendors for better rates and bulk purchasing options.
- Monitor and evaluate subscriptions, identifying and canceling unused services, while also identifying unusually high or unexpected charges for cost-saving opportunities.
Financial Clerk Job Requirements:
- College degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred, or 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting/finance.
- Work experience as a Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Officer, or similar role.
