Job Responsibilities & Description for the Family Services Specialist:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of family needs, focusing on family preservation and progress monitoring.
- Ensure ongoing safety of children and families through regular contact with caregivers, adhering to department policies.
- Provide essential resources and services to families, including assistance with personal safety, shelter, food, and clothing.
- Collaborate closely with Child Protective Services Supervisors and Specialists, offering case management support.
- Develop and implement service plans tailored to the specific needs of families and individuals.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes.
Job Requirements for the Family Services Specialist:
- Bachelors Degree in human services or related field required.
- Experience in family services, social work, or case management is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals and families.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Knowledge of community resources and support systems.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to regulatory guidelines.
- Must be willing to undergo a background test and pre-employment drug screening.
