3rd Shift Machine Operator

Sunday, 8pm to 5:18am Monday-Thursday, 10pm to 6:18am
DAY TO DAY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Machine Operator Level 1 has the responsibility for achieving full production potential, with 100% mail count integrity, at their machine for each shift. The operator works under established operating procedures and under a prescribed set of jobs. As a member of the production team, the operator must be able to communicate effectively with others regarding production problems relating to mailing material and equipment. The operator works under supervision of a Shift Supervisor.
-Operate mail production machinery to hit daily output goals and maintain operator efficiency goal at all times when running machine.
-Able to clear machines jams and make minor machine adjustments as needed.
-Troubleshoot and identify malfunction in machine performance.
-Possess a working knowledge of methods and techniques of machinery setup.
-Monitor equipment to assure maximum uptime.
-Perform quality checks on all output at work station.
-Maintain machine operator work logs.
-Maintain stock at work station.
-Keep work area neat, clean and organized.
-Work cooperatively with other operators and supervisors to achieve maximum production capabilities.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
- Machine Operators must be PC Savvy
- One year operating light production equipment preferred.
- One to two years working in a mail production environment preferred.
- Knowledge and aptitude for operating computerized mail equipment preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED.
