Wastewater Treatment Technician Job Description:
This lab technician ensures that our internally generated wastewater from our sealant production process is treated effectively and meets environmental and regulatory standards before being released.
- Operate and control equipment for wastewater treatment, such as pumps, valves, mixers, and filters.
- Determine correct treatment additions based on pH measurements.
- Adjust mixer speeds based on observations.
- Collect water samples and take them to the lab to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Wastewater Treatment Technician Job Requirements:
- Understanding of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and testing procedures a plus but not required. Will train.
- Ability to collect and interpret data to make informed adjustments.
- Mechanical Aptitude preferred: Familiarity with pumps, valves, and basic repair tools; ability to troubleshoot equipment and operate a forklift.
- Must operate equipment and perform the functions with minimum supervision.
- Employee may be asked to help with various preventive and other maintenance tasks as this position reports to the maintenance supervisor.
