Assembler
Schedule: Full-Time
Location: Point of Rocks, MD
Job Summary
Our client is seeking dependable and motivated Assemblers to join their production team. This role involves assembling products, operating basic machinery, reading measurements, and maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates with carpentry, construction, warehouse, or manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply, but experience is not required.
Responsibilities
- Assemble products and components according to specifications
- Bolt, clip, screw, cement, and otherwise fasten materials together
- Cut products and materials to precise measurements
- Inspect finished products and remove defective items as needed
- Operate machinery used in assembly and fastening processes
- Rotate between workstations based on production demands
- Read and use tape measures accurately
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous assembly, manufacturing, construction, carpentry, or production experience preferred but not required
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Frequently use hands and arms to assemble and move materials
- Occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Continuously lift up to 25 lbs.
- Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moving machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
