Position Summary
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical components and subassemblies according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies according to technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform quality inspections and checks on assembled products to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Work closely with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of mechanical assembly or related manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assembly equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and work ethic.
Preferred
- Technical training or certification in a mechanical, industrial, or related field.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform physical activities including bending, twisting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to safely handle tools, equipment, and assembly materials throughout the workday.
