Project Quoting & Materials Manager
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per year
Are you a detail-oriented professional with experience in quoting, cost analysis, and materials planning within a manufacturing environment? We are seeking a Project Quoting & Materials Manager to play a key role in driving customer satisfaction, cost control, and operational efficiency.
About the Role
In this position, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates and managing customer quotations while coordinating raw material planning and inventory needs. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage detailed customer quotations based on specifications, requirements, and internal costing.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries and order-related communication.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure quote accuracy and alignment with production capabilities.
- Monitor raw material requirements and support purchasing, inventory, and production planning activities.
- Maintain accurate records of quotes, orders, inventory, and customer data within ERP/MRP systems.
- Communicate schedule changes, material shortages, and order updates to both internal stakeholders and customers.
- Resolve pricing discrepancies, order issues, and material-related concerns.
- Negotiate with suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quoting processes, material flow, and customer service.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
Qualifications Required
- Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in quoting, estimating, materials planning, customer service, or production coordination within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- Experience with raw material planning, inventory coordination, and production support.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Background in project coordination, inside sales, or supply chain operations.
