PeopleShare, Inc. is actively recruiting a Parcel Packer and a Production Packer for a top automotive parts supplier located in Cranbury, NJ.
These are critical, high-impact roles responsible for the overall efficiency, accuracy, and operational readiness of the warehouse and production floors. As a Parcel Packer or Production Packer, you will support our shipping, assembly, and quality operations, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, facility efficiency, and strict compliance with corporate and OSHA safety standards. Parcel Packer & Production Packer: 9:00am - 5:30pm (Monday through Friday)
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $19.00/hr
Key Responsibilities:
Parcel Packer:
Create outgoing parcels using UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and Rock Auto Shipping Tool programs.
Review packages to ensure delivery accuracy; prepare shipments including packing, checking, and documentation.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and technical manuals.
Utilize basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and read tape measures, scales, and gauges.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation; assist with production shop and housekeeping duties when required.
Production Packer:
Perform daily production duties including manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations, and sorting.
Execute complex kitting operations, and assemble/repack automotive kits based on customer specifications.
Safely move product and inventory utilizing a forklift and bin system.
Conduct final inspections of kits and packaging, performing basic visual quality inspections to comply with customer requests.
Report defective materials or questionable conditions directly to the department supervisor and execute quality documentation.
Qualifications:
Parcel Packer Requirements:
Mandatory: High school diploma or equivalent with 2-3 years of experience in a shipping/receiving environment (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Working knowledge of small package and conveyor systems.
Solid understanding of WMS and hands-on RF scanner production experience.
Strong Windows/PC ability to efficiently utilize computer shipping programs.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly and stand, twist, bend, squat, and kneel for long periods of time.
Proven ability to complete required paperwork and work with minimal supervision.
Production Packer Requirements:
Mandatory: High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of experience working in a production environment (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Ability to understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions, and communicate effectively across organization levels.
Possess basic mathematical skills and the ability to perform visual quality inspections.
Experience utilizing power tools and various warehouse equipment as needed.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motions.
Comfortable working in an open warehouse environment with varying weather and temperature conditions (heat, humidity, cold).
