Forklift Operator – 2nd Shift (Temp)
Location: Dayton, NJ
Pay: $20.50/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00pm–11:30pm
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our 2nd shift team. This role is responsible for safely loading, unloading, staging, and moving products throughout the facility using various types of forklifts and warehouse equipment. Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent forklift experience and be willing to train on slip‑sheet equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Load and unload containers using sit‑down forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Operate dock levelers and, once trained, slip sheets and push‑pull attachments.
Stage and organize all incoming and outgoing products.
Pull and prepare orders for shipment according to customer standards.
Stack pallets in designated areas and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Use handheld scanners to input product information into the SAP system.
Label and put away products in assigned storage locations.
Follow all shipping and receiving procedures accurately.
Assist with periodic inventory counts.
Meet productivity goals while working safely and efficiently.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
2+ years of recent forklift experience (sit‑down, reach, pallet jack).
Ability to perform basic math and count product accurately.
Willingness to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in food‑grade warehouse environments (preferred, not required).
Slip‑sheet experience (a plus).
