We are looking for a reliable, safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team and help us maintain our reputation for operational excellence.
What You'll Do (Job Responsibilities)
As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain, ensuring freight is moved safely and efficiently between our warehouse and our diverse fleet.
Load and Unload: Safely load and unload trailers, dry vans, flatbeds, and ocean containers.
Freight Management: Efficiently handle a variety of freight types, adapting to different shapes, sizes, and weights (including heavy or overweight loads).
Team Collaboration: Work closely with our dispatch team, drivers, and warehouse management to ensure accurate loading sequences and timely departures.
Inventory & Scanning: Utilize RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS) to track, log, and locate incoming and outgoing freight.
Safety & Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-operational inspections on equipment and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
Experience: Minimum of [1-2] years of experience operating sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts in a fast-paced logistics, cross-dock, or intermodal environment.
Certification: Valid forklift certification is required (or willingness to get certified on-site).
Adaptability: Experience handling diverse freight (LTL palletized goods, flatbed cargo, container stripping/stuffing).
Skills: Strong spatial awareness, basic computer/scanner literacy, and an eye for detail to catch mismatched or damaged freight.
Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment that may fluctuate in temperature.
Dependability: A punctual professional who thrives in a team-oriented environment.
