About the Role
We are seeking a Teaching Instructor to join a small, award‑winning nonprofit dedicated to improving employment outcomes for adults with disabilities. This is a hands‑on instructional role where you will directly teach practical, job‑ready skills that prepare learners for entry‑level professional and administrative careers.

What You’ll Teach
- Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Basic computer and Windows navigation
- Data entry proficiency
- Business and professional communication
- Job readiness skills for roles such as:
- Customer Service Representative (CSR)
- Office Administrator
- Entry‑Level IT Support
- Sales Support
- Human Services Assistant
Schedule & Location
- Onsite
- Tuesday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 30 hours per week
- 1‑hour lunch break
- Dress Code: Business casual
- Start Date: ASAP
Pay
- $23–$24 per hour
- Long‑term contract opportunity
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Instruction
- Deliver and support lessons on MS365, data entry, and business communication
- Adapt teaching strategies for diverse adult learning styles and abilities
- Utilize and teach assistive technology when needed
- Provide individualized, hands‑on support during instruction
Curriculum & Content
- Update lesson materials, handouts, and presentations
- Ensure all materials are accessible, engaging, and relevant
- Incorporate new tools and technology trends into instruction
Classroom Management
- Maintain a respectful, inclusive learning environment
- Manage classroom technology (hardware and software)
- Monitor student participation and progress
- Communicate concerns or issues to program leadership
Administration & Outreach
- Track attendance, progress, and performance
- Assist with classroom setup and scheduling
- Participate in open houses, recruitment events, and funder visits as needed
Required Skills & Experience
- Teaching, tutoring, or training experience (adult learners preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Comfortable presenting and engaging learners via Zoom and in‑person
- Experience working with remote or hybrid learners is a plus
- Passion for or experience supporting people with disabilities strongly preferred
