We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Northeast Philadelphia that manufactures dental devices. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast‑paced production environment.
Machine Operator Job Details:
Schedule:
- 1st shift 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri
- 2nd shift 3pm-11:30pm Mon-Fri (requires training on 1st shift)
Pay Rate: $17/hour
Machine Operator Job Description:
Set up and operate tools according to instructions, specifications, and standard charts.
Review blueprints, work orders, and other specifications to ensure proper setup sequence.
Select, place, and secure tools as required.
Position and secure workpieces on machine tables, holding devices, or other surfaces using clamps and wrenches.
Prepare fixtures and feeding devices, start machines, and engage feed mechanisms.
Monitor machine operation to verify quality and performance.
Ensure measuring instruments (gauges, calipers, micrometers) are in proper working condition.
Set and adjust machine controls to regulate operation.
Sharpen tools using a bench grinder when needed.
Machine Operator Job Requirements:
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and machine properties.
Ability to read and follow written instructions, diagrams, and blueprints.
Commitment to proper safety protocols.
Ability to determine whether machinery is operating correctly based on specifications (fixtures, cutting speeds, feed rates, etc.).
Ability to complete paperwork accurately and legibly.
