Our client in Aston is seeking a Manual Machinist!
Details for Manual Machinist:
- Schedule: Monday – Thursday 730am-4pm, Friday – work remaining hours to hit 40
- Pay Rate: $30-$40/HR

Description for Manual Machinist:
- Machine aluminum and steel aerospace components using mills, lathes, and grinders
- Hold tolerances to ±.0005 consistently on critical features
- Perform all in-process and final inspections using micrometers, indicators, and surface-plate setups
- Build and modify fixtures supporting both CNC and manual operations
- Handle job-shop work: prototypes, repair parts, reverse engineering, and small-batch runs
- Set up and run manual mills, lathes, and grinders on anything from brackets to bushings to custom shafts
- Modify and repair customer parts, including weld buildup machining, shaft cleanups, bushing bores, and thread repairs
Qualifications for Manual Machinist:
- Technical machine training combined with extensive shop-floor experience across aerospace, toolroom, and job-shop environments required
- Minimum 5 years of manual machinist experience
- Strong troubleshooting instincts, especially on older manual equipment
- Blueprint reading, GD&T, tight tolerance machining
- Precision inspection and documentation
