Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join the team. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in residential repair, plumbing, and apartment "make-readies."
Core Responsibilities
In this role, you will perform difficult skilled work in general repair and system maintenance under the supervision of the Property Manager.
Plumbing & Systems: Unstop sinks, commodes, and sewer lines; perform general maintenance on plumbing systems.
Carpentry & Structural: Repair and maintain woodwork, hardware, cabinets, doors, windows, and floors.
Unit Reconditioning: Perform "make-ready" tasks to prepare dwelling units for new occupancy, including installing sheetrock, vinyl, ceramic, and parquet flooring.
Appliance Care: Install, maintain, and repair various household appliances.
Exterior Maintenance: Replace shingles and siding to ensure building integrity.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of all repairs and tasks performed.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: High school diploma (or equivalent) plus proven experience in skilled building repair and maintenance.
Technical Knowledge: Thorough understanding of building trades and the use of common hand tools.
Independence: Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with residents and colleagues.
Physical Requirements
Strength: Must be able to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and 20 lbs frequently.
Agility: Role requires frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
Dexterity: Ability to perform repetitive motions and handle small parts/defects.
