Receptionist & Switchboard Operator
Location: Schaumburg, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour

About the Role
We are seeking a professional and dependable Receptionist & Switchboard Operator to support front‑office operations. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, prior reception experience, solid computer skills, and the ability to learn quickly. This role requires a mature, self‑motivated individual who can provide excellent customer service and assist with administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner
Answer and transfer incoming calls from across the United States
Distribute visitor badges and maintain visitor logs
Schedule and manage meeting room reservations
Perform light administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and document preparation
Provide basic PC support and assist with administrative tasks as needed
Maintain and update company phone lists, speed dial lists, company calendar, and automated messaging center
Support internal teams with tasks such as labels, manual compilation, and promotional item distribution
Participate in company and community service events
Build positive relationships with internal teams and external customers
Uphold company values, mission, and professional standards
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of reception or switchboard experience required
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Quick learner with a mature, professional demeanor
