Community Resource Connector Job Description
Community Resource Connectors are trusted, engaged community members who help residents access programs designed to improve financial stability and overall well‑being. Connectors provide outreach, application support, and follow-up to ensure residents receive the assistance they need.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Conducting phone outreach as the main method of connecting with residents who have expressed interest in assistance programs.
- Supporting occasional outreach via text messaging and door‑to‑door canvassing to promote available services.
- Participating in community tabling events to increase program awareness and provide in‑person support.
- Coordinating with outreach teams, partner agencies, and the general public.
- Attending ongoing training sessions to build knowledge of assistance programs, outreach tools, and trauma‑informed engagement strategies.
- Participating in regular team meetings and check‑ins with supervisors.
- Performing other community‑focused tasks aligned with the mission of the program.
Community Resource Connector Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Comfort using handheld technology.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to discuss sensitive topics with empathy and professionalism.
- A genuine passion for serving the community.
