Maintenance Technician III – Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician III, you will serve as a technical expert responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving high-tech equipment and critical machinery. You’ll perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance, lead special projects, and support continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Corrective Maintenance
Diagnose and repair equipment functionality issues
Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical failures
Repair and maintain extruder and injection molding machines
Provide feedback to supervisors on recurring or critical issues
Implement solutions to reduce equipment failure and downtime
Maintenance Work Requests
Execute specialized maintenance requests
Collaborate with requesters to gather detailed job information
Track materials, spare parts, and chemicals to ensure job readiness
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
Perform preventive maintenance on high-tech and critical equipment
Conduct predictive maintenance and document findings
Recommend improvements to enhance the Preventive Maintenance Program
Special Projects & Continuous Improvement
Lead machinery installations, layout modifications, and refurbishments
Utilize A3 problem-solving methodology
Participate in and support Kaizen events and root-cause analysis efforts
Maintenance Technician III – Job Requirements
Education: Technical Certificate or Technical Degree required
Experience: 5–10 years in an industrial maintenance role
Manufacturing Experience: Injection molding experience required
PLC Knowledge: Ability to read ladder logic
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
