Title: Equipment Operator Receiver– Stand-Up Reach Truck
Location: Pennsauken, NJ 08110
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: Starting at $20.60/hr, with the opportunity to increase to $22/hr
We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator with strong stand-up reach truck skills (Crown brand experience is a plus, not required). This role is part of the Receiving Department within a large distribution environment. Reliability, dependability, and teamwork are essential to success.
This position involves receiving inbound goods, operating warehouse machinery, and supporting key inventory and fulfillment processes.
Responsibilities
Receiving & Inventory Handling
- Accurately receive, count, and inspect inbound products for damage or discrepancies.
- Use RF scanners to label items, break down pallets, and follow standard receiving procedures.
- Read and understand BOLs (Bills of Lading) and vendor packing lists.
- Place received items into correct pick locations or overflow storage.
- Check in customer returns and complete necessary documentation.
- Report barcode issues and record item/SKU information accurately.
Machine Operation
- Operate stand-up reach trucks, cherry pickers, forklifts, scissor lifts, and electric pallet jacks.
- Meet daily performance metrics such as receipts per day, units received, and putaway goals.
- Follow all safety procedures, including use of harnesses and proper machine operation.
Cross-Functional Duties
- Pick customer orders using voice-directed WMS systems.
- Assist with transfers, replenishments, and kitting tasks.
- Support daily cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Help maintain clean, organized warehouse aisles and overflow areas.
- Perform basic equipment upkeep (battery charging, checking for loose bolts, leaks, worn tires, etc.).
- Train new or seasonal staff as needed.
Job Requirements
- Experience operating stand-up reach trucks (required).
- Ability to operate warehouse machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse processes, UOMs, SKUs, and inventory flow.
- Basic computer skills (ERP/WMS navigation, printing labels/packing slips).
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand/walk for prolonged periods.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability.
