We are hiring a Testing Technician to support performance and functional testing for electrical assemblies at a large, technology‑driven manufacturing facility in Hanover, MD. This role is ideal for candidates with technical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and a desire to grow in the electrical testing and quality field.
Position Overview
As a Testing Technician, you will perform hands‑on electrical and mechanical testing of assembled products to ensure functionality, safety, and quality standards are met. This is not an assembly role — it is focused on testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.
What You’ll Do
- Perform functional and performance testing on electrical and mechanical assemblies
- Use testing tools including multimeters, oscilloscopes, test fixtures, and power meters
- Verify operation of circuit breakers, bus bars, panel boards, switchgear sections, and control panels
- Document test results, pass/fail data, and corrective actions with accuracy
- Troubleshoot failures, identify root causes, and communicate findings to the team
- Follow all safety standards, testing procedures, and quality protocols
- Maintain clean, organized documentation and support overall quality assurance
Requirements
- Technical degree OR 1–2 years of experience in electrical testing, manufacturing, assembly, or field service
- Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
- Experience with switchgear, electrical control systems, or electrical testing is highly preferred
- Comfortable using electrical diagnostic tools and hand/power tools
- Reliable, punctual, strong attention to detail, and able to work independently
- Ability to lift 25–75 lbs as required
- Steel/composite‑toe footwear required
