Controls Tech Job Requirements:
CMMS (SAP)
- Create notifications and input time on work orders.
- Provide feedback to update procedures and address deficiencies.
- Write job-specific procedures and set task frequencies
Technical Skills
- Semi-skilled mechanical and plumbing abilities.
- Semi-skilled troubleshooting of processing and packing equipment.
- Skilled electrical work (120V–480V).
- Skilled troubleshooting using laptop for PLC, VFD, and HMI operations.
- Ability to teach troubleshooting for PLC, VFD, and HMI.
- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control system documentation, including:
- P&ID diagrams
- Electrical single-line drawings
- Instrument loop drawings
- Cable routing and termination
- Mechanical diagrams and machine layouts
- Incorporate programs using FactoryTalk View and ladder logic software.
Required
- Formal training in electrical or electronic engineering technology.
Preferred
- Training in mechanical and/or plumbing techniques.
- Experience in the food industry.
