Job Details:
Key Responsibilities:
Follow procedures and instructions to set up and run jobs on CNC equipment.
Install tools, set work-holding devices, and enter tool offset data into control registers.
Load programs from the computer.
Inspect first piece using measuring instruments and adjust offsets to meet specifications and quality standards.
Understand G & M codes and modify part programs when required.
Operate jobs or hand off to CNC Machine Operators once properly running.
Experience working with castings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience in a job shop or production environment.
- Proficient in CNC equipment setup, tooling, fixturing, and machining processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, plan machining strategies, and perform precise inspections using measuring instruments.
- Strong understanding of G & M codes and ability to modify programs when needed.
- Computer literacy for work-related tasks.
- Mechanically inclined with attention to detail and safety.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to meet physical demands: standing for extended periods, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and wearing required PPE.
