Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills/lathes), including tooling, fixturing, and entering machine offsets.
- Load CNC programs and perform first‑piece inspections to verify parts meet quality and tolerance requirements.
- Adjust offsets and interpret G‑code/M‑code, making basic CNC program edits to maintain accuracy and productivity.
- Run production jobs independently and transition stable processes to CNC Operators when ready.
- Work with castings and precision components while following all safety and machining best practices.
- Support daily machining and production needs to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience in a job shop or production environment.
- Proficient in CNC equipment setup, tooling, fixturing, and machining processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, plan machining strategies, and perform precise inspections using measuring instruments.
- Strong understanding of G & M codes and ability to modify programs when needed.
- Ability to meet physical demands: standing for extended periods, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and wearing required PPE.
