Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily operations on the production floor of a busy manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a focus on safety and quality, and the ability to drive productivity and efficiency through teamwork and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Production & Operations
Oversee daily manufacturing operations to meet production goals, deadlines, and quality standards.
Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing and workflow as needed.
Implement lean manufacturing practices to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Coordinate with departments such as Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics to ensure smooth operations.
Leadership & Team Development
Supervise, train, and motivate production staff across multiple shifts.
Lead daily shift meetings to review performance, safety topics, and production goals.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among team members.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all employees follow company safety rules and wear proper PPE.
Conduct safety audits and work proactively to correct potential hazards.
Support and encourage a culture of workplace safety and organization (5S).
Quality & Efficiency
Collaborate with Quality Control to maintain high product standards.
Identify and address process issues to minimize downtime and defects.
Track and report key production metrics including output, scrap, and downtime.
Qualifications:
3+ years of production supervision experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety practices, and quality standards.
Proven leadership ability to guide and motivate a team.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma preferred.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and standing for extended periods.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software.
