PeopleShare has 2 openings for a Warehouse Worker for a food distributor in a cold environment warehouse environment. We have both a day shift opening and a night shift opening. Candidates must have previous experience in a food service distribution and cold warehouse environment. Must have previous order picking experience using a Cherry Picker and sit-down Forklift.

Schedule:
Opening #1 - Day Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 4pm
Opening #2 - Night Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 6:00 PM - Finish (6-10 hour days, 37-40 total hours over 5 nights)
Responsibilities
- Receives direction in daily team meetings.
- Quickly learns product types and placement in warehouse.
- Unloads products from trucks.
- Checks product being received for accuracy of delivery.
- Places products to warehouse location with quality organizing, cleanliness and enabling an easy pick by the night shift staff.
- Safely, correctly, and efficiently operate power equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, and other related equipment).
- Effectively works required amount of time in freezer, cooler, and dry goods bays.
- Able to maneuver company delivery trucks in parking areas.
- Effectively lift and place heavy products while organizing, providing daytime pick-ups, and preparing warehouse for night operations.
- Conduct cleanliness activities before, during, and at the end of shift; and as prescribed by the Supervisor.
- Move, stack, and organized empty pallets.
- Provide timely responses to front office requests about product inventory.
- Repair partially damaged product containers and prepare them for shipping.
- Receive coaching and direction from Supervisor.
- Assist other team members for end of shift completeness and accuracy.
- Embrace and challenge others with meeting safety standards (OSHA, DOT, company).
Requirements
- Cooler/Freezer experience.
- 6 months experience in the food distribution industry doing day or night warehouse work with product un-palletizing and inventory placement.
- You must have reliable transportation to get to and from work.
Working Conditions and physical demands
- Indoor warehouse environment with freezer, cooler, and dry goods.
- Ability to maintain a high level of visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time.
- Ability to operate or get trained quickly on warehouse equipment: forklifts, pallet trucks, high lifts, etc.
- Ability to perform the following physical activities: standing long periods, walking and frequent bending, reaching/handling from floor to overhead. Weight handled is approximately 10-30 lbs. continuously; 30-50 lbs. frequently; >50 lbs. occasionally.
- Push/pull force 30 to 40 pounds frequently.
- Must have the ability to hear and speak clearly.
- The environment may have heavy and loud machinery work (hearing impacts), exposure to weather, varied controlled temperatures (freezer and dry goods), and potential hazards for vision.
- Staff will adhere to OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards, and may include a drug and alcohol test for warehouse personnel and machine operators.
