Join a Leading Litigation Team in Chicago!
A reputable Chicago based firm is on the hunt for a driven, experienced litigation attorney to join our growing team in Chicago, IL. If you're a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and you bring at least 3 years of litigation experience, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you’ll take the lead on complex professional liability cases—with a focus on Architects & Engineers and construction defect claims—while working side-by-side with respected trial attorneys, high-profile clients, and a nationally recognized defense team. Prior insurance defense experience is a major plus.
What You’ll Do
- Own your caseload from start to finish, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and mediation briefs
- Shape litigation strategy, conduct large-scale document reviews, and manage case progress
- Directly interact with clients, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses
- Serve as second chair in trials, depositions, and evidentiary hearings
- Be part of a collaborative culture where your voice and ideas are valued
What You Bring
- Licensed in Illinois
- 3+ years of hands-on litigation experience (professional liability or construction experience preferred)
- Excellent legal writing and analytical skills—you know how to draft sharp, persuasive arguments
- Strong organizational chops—you can juggle multiple matters and meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality
- Confidence and professionalism—you’ll be client-facing and have room to grow your own book of business
