Job Description: Senior Investment Analyst
Responsible for researching, analyzing, recommending, monitoring, and reporting on marketable security investment opportunities and portfolio performance. Provides regular written and verbal recommendations to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with company objectives and risk parameters.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Research and analyze marketable security investment opportunities for the company’s portfolio.
- Present investment recommendations to senior leadership in both written and verbal formats on a regular basis.
- Evaluate portfolio holdings for risk exposure and industry diversification prior to making recommendations.
- Monitor and report on portfolio performance monthly, quarterly, and annually, comparing results to established benchmarks and striving to meet or exceed them through strong investment selection.
- Assess cash positions regularly and recommend fixed-rate investment opportunities.
- Coordinate approved investment transactions with brokers and banks.
- Develop budgets and forecasts for portfolio dividend and interest income.
- Stay current on market trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes using available research tools, including Bloomberg.
- Leverage technology and data analysis tools to enhance research and reporting capabilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned and within the scope of the position.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (required).
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of investment analysis and market research experience preferred.
- Prior experience using Bloomberg Terminal preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Ability to lift or move up to 10 lbs. occasionally (0–30%).
- Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Quiet to moderate noise level in typical office environment.
- On-site/in-office presence required.
- Regular and reliable attendance expected.
