Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant professional to join our client’s team on a temporary, part-time basis. This role offers flexible scheduling (24 hours per week) and is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounting experience who enjoys working in a collaborative and organized environment.
The Accounting Assistant role will focus on expense reporting, data entry, and accounting support during a busy financial period, including a quarter close and upcoming system upgrade.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and organize expense reports (primarily using Excel/Microsoft Office).
- Assist with accounting projects and provide support during month- and quarter-end.
- Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical).
- Generate and edit accounting reports (AP, AR, commitments, and purchase orders).
- Support system-related tasks as the company upgrades to Sage Intacct.
- Provide general administrative and accounting support as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Office Suite (required).
- Experience with accounting systems; knowledge of Sage Intacct is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
