Position Overview
The Seed Quality Control Coordinator ensures seed quality standards are met by testing, monitoring results, and supporting cross-department functions. This role also assists with vendor communication, invoicing, warehouse support, and seasonal backup to the Seed Operations team.
Key Responsibilities
Process seed invoices, returns, and vendor claims to ensure accurate and timely payments.
Maintain germination and test history records while monitoring quality trends.
Create and manage seed processing and mix work orders.
Assign storage bin locations and maintain accurate inventory records.
Provide support with seed receiving, cycle counts, and yearly physical inventory.
Assist in packaging, picking, and shipping orders in a temperature-controlled environment.
Update and manage blocked seed lists, dump lists, and labeling changes.
Communicate with vendors on germination issues and coordinate resolutions.
Support buyers, customer care, and seed operations with daily administrative and operational tasks.
Provide backup for the Seed Operations Assistant Manager during peak seasons.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years of experience in business support, operations, or related roles.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (including formulas/macros).
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cooler environments when needed.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
