POSITION OVERVIEW
The Project Manager leads operational projects across the organization and works closely with internal teams to move initiatives from ideation to planning to execution. This role manages a portfolio of projects and drives progress against timelines, deliverables, and defined outcomes while generating insights that support data-informed decision-making. This position serves as a key liaison between project teams, senior leadership and stakeholders by maintaining clarity around goals, progress and cross-functional responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
70% Project Management
- Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning through execution to closure.
- Build consensus among stakeholders, communicate trade-offs, and apply change management to support project success.
- Deliver high-quality work that drives data-informed business decisions.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams by defining roles, deliverables, and timelines to keep projects on track.
- Adapt plans and priorities in a dynamic environments to meet objectives.
20% Development of Standard Processes and Project Metrics
- Develop and implement standardized project methodologies and workflows.
- Define and report on project metrics using data visualization tools.
- Apply continuous improvement practices to enhance project and operational outcomes.
10% Project Analysis and Risk Management
- Identify and analyze risks and challenges impacting projects.
- Assess business needs to define requirements and opportunities.
- Lead risk mitigation and problem-solving efforts to ensure project success.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field required; equivalent education and experience combinations may be considered.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience managing projects with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
- Proven ability to develop, meet, and exceed project timelines.
- Experience writing requirements, comprehensive test plans, and user acceptance
- documents covering all project components.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of interacting with all organizational levels.
- Experience working in cross-departmental team environments.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position reports to the Deputy Chief, Operations and does not have any direct reports.
