We are currently seeking a Junior Mechanic for a hands-on role in a manufacturing facility. This is a full-time, opportunity offering a competitive pay range, steady schedule, and room for advancement in a well-established company.
Shifts Available:
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:15 PM
- 3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:15 AM (ending Friday morning)
Pay Rate: $20–$30/hour
Job Description:
The Junior Mechanic is responsible for the installation, repair, and upkeep of equipment, machinery, and facility structures within a manufacturing environment. This role includes:
- Installing equipment, piping, and electrical systems
- Repairing machinery and performing preventative maintenance
- Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems (3-phase/single-phase motors, VFDs, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, etc.)
- Performing basic carpentry, light plumbing, electrical work, and painting
- Conducting facility repairs (door hardware, locks, drywall, landscaping)
- Operating forklifts and assisting in their maintenance
- Identifying repair needs and procuring parts
- Performing other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial setting
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Basic welding and fabrication skills helpful
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move items up to 100 lbs
- Must wear steel-toe shoes and long pants
