Salary: $100,000 – $105,000
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6–8AM start (occasional 5AM starts and Saturday availability required)

Overview:
A leading food production facility in Collingswood, NJ is seeking a Food Safety Manager/QA to oversee the implementation and maintenance of food safety and quality systems. This position will play a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance, collaborating with USDA officials, and supporting operational excellence in a USDA-regulated meat processing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage food safety and quality management systems in compliance with USDA, HACCP, GMPs, and customer standards
Serve as primary liaison with USDA inspectors and cross-functional teams including maintenance and production
Oversee audits, pre-operational sanitation inspections, and corrective action plans
Train, coach, and mentor QA team members and plant staff
Coordinate scheduling for QA Technicians and ensure completion of delegated tasks
Support new product development, validations, and process improvements
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and approvals (e.g., USDA Sketch approvals)
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in food safety or food science, preferably in the meat industry
USDA experience is required – must be familiar with regulatory compliance and communication
HACCP and SQF systems experience required; SQF Practitioner certification strongly preferred
Knowledge of meat cuts, processing specifications, and quality control
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to work in refrigerated environments and lift up to 60 lbs
