PeopleShare is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electro-Mechanic to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Candidates must have experience in the food manufacturing industry.
Title: Electro Mechanic
Location: Collingswood, NJ 08103
Type: Direct Hire, Full-time
Salary: $27-36/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:30 AM or 6:00 AM start time, 10-12 hour shifts. Preventive Maintenance every other Saturday.
Responsibilities:
- Locate breakdowns and carry out the necessary repairs
- Perform mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic checks on equipment
- Install, align, dismantle, and move fixed industrial machinery or mechanical equipment (pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, etc.)
- Participate in the development of a preventive maintenance program for equipment
- Read plans, diagrams, and schematics to determine the method of proceeding
- Adhere to the health and safety policies and procedures, good manufacturing practices, and HACCP/SQF
programs - Maintains OSHA/corporate set guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Must be knowledgeable in equipment Lock-Out/Tag-Out requirements
Requirements:
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry
- Experience in electromechanics, mechanical manufacturing, or other relevant training
- Strong attention to detail and ability to intervene safely, quickly, and effectively
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills in all types
- Must read and write English
- Able to work flexible hours and overtime as business needs
- Ability to work in a fast paced, refrigerated environment
- Able to function in a team environment through communication and cooperation
- High school diploma or GED required
