As a Millwork Drafter/Engineer at Beams Custom Woodworking, you’ll play a crucial role in our project lifecycle—from concept to completion. You'll be responsible for producing accurate shop drawings, managing revisions, supporting CNC programming, and collaborating across departments to ensure projects exceed expectations.
Milwork Drafter/Engineer Job Details:
- Schedule: (7am-3pm) OT as needed
- Pay Rate: $27 -$33 hour depending on experience
- Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K Benefits with 4% company contribution when converted to the company!
- Weekly Pay and medical benefits during the temp to hire period.
Milword Drafter/Engineer Job Description:
- Create detailed and accurate shop drawings for customer approval.
- Deliver all drawings in a timely manner to meet project deadlines.
- Revise drawings based on redlines and field measurements.
- Participate in hand-off meetings with Sales, Estimating, and Project Management to understand project scope.
- Research and confirm hardware and appliance specifications.
- Program CNC machinery with accuracy and efficiency.
- Identify and resolve challenges related to custom or unique items.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality output.
- Prepare and update As-Built Drawings for project close-out documentation.
Milwork Drafter/ Engineer Job Requirements:
- 3–5 years of professional experience with AutoCAD in a millwork or cabinetmaking environment.
- Proficiency with Microvellum; programming experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of cabinetry and architectural millwork construction techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with AWI (Architectural Woodwork Institute) standards.
