Bookkeeper / Office Manager Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Pay Rate: $60,000 - $70,000 per year
- Benefits: Direct Hire with commission, 401(k), and comprehensive benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, Life, etc)
Bookkeeper / Office Manager Job Description:
- Oversee all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable, job cost accounting, bank reconciliations, payroll processing, and maintaining the general ledger.
- Handle AIA documentation, including preparing pay applications, schedules of values, and lien waivers to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Reconcile financial statements with project budgets, tracking job costs, change orders, and expenses while identifying and addressing discrepancies.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and construction industry standards.
- Work closely with project managers and the CPA to support tax filings, audits, and financial reporting by providing accurate and timely documentation.
- Supervise payroll processes, including certified payroll and tax filings, ensuring compliance with prevailing wage laws and employment regulations.
- Manage month-end and year-end financial close processes, maintaining well-organized, audit-ready financial records for construction projects.
Bookkeeper / Office Manager Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a full-cycle Bookkeeper, Accounting Specialist, or similar role in the construction or contracting industry.
- Experience with QuickBooks, construction accounting software, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience preparing AIA documentation, including pay applications and lien waivers.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll, tax filings, certified payroll, and benefits administration.
- Associate’s degree in accounting or bookkeeping certification preferred.
