PeopleShare is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Custodians to provide essential housekeeping and maintenance services across different facilities. This position plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Pay Rate: $13.24 per hour
Shifts Available:
- 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning of assigned areas, including rooms, offices, and common spaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, replace supplies, and ensure all areas meet department cleanliness standards.
- Wipe down windows, dust surfaces, and remove trash.
- Perform specific floor maintenance, carpet care, and other custodial tasks following industry best practices.
- Change light bulbs and notify supervisors of maintenance concerns.
- Maintain compliance with safety procedures and university policies.
- Report to work as directed during emergency closings.
- Notify supervisors of any barriers to effective cleaning, such as equipment issues or supply shortages.
- Participate in daily inspections conducted by supervisors to ensure quality standards are met.
Qualifications:
- Previous custodial or housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow cleaning protocols and operate basic maintenance equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
