Production Equipment Operator
Hackettstown, NJ
Pay: $19.00 - $28.00 per hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment throughout the manufacturing process
- Lead and support a team of 1-4 production associates during daily operations
- Ensure production schedules and output goals are achieved
- Perform equipment setup, changeovers, and basic adjustments as needed
- Monitor product quality and ensure all specifications are met
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
- Enforce food safety, GMP, and workplace safety standards
- Assist with training new team members on equipment and operating procedures
- Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to minimize downtime
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and audit-ready
Qualifications:
- Previous machine operation experience in a manufacturing, food production, or packaging environment
- Prior leadership, trainer, or lead operator experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Experience following SOPs, GMPs, and food safety procedures preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
