Community Outreach Canvasser

Canvasser Job Details:
Schedule: Monday-Friday OR Tuesday-Saturday
Shift: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (12:00 PM - 4:00 PM after November 1st)
Pay Rate: $22/hour
About the Role:
- Make a direct impact in Philadelphia neighborhoods by connecting residents with valuable community resources and programs.
- Engage with community members, build relationships, and help strengthen neighborhoods throughout the city.
- Gain valuable experience in community engagement, public outreach, customer service, and grassroots initiatives.
- Excellent opportunity for candidates with backgrounds in canvassing, customer service, outreach, advocacy, sales, community organizing, or public service.

Job Description:
- Conduct door-to-door outreach in assigned neighborhoods
- Engage residents in professional and informative conversations
- Share information regarding available community programs, services, and resources
- Distribute outreach materials and educational literature
- Collect and document resident feedback accurately
- Meet daily outreach goals and objectives
- Attend training sessions and team meetings as required
- Represent the initiative positively and professionally at all times
Job Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable interacting with the public and initiating conversations
- Ability to walk and work outdoors for extended periods
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Basic smartphone and data entry skills
- Ability to work independently and follow directions
- Previous experience in canvassing, community outreach, customer service, sales, advocacy, political campaigns, or public engagement is preferred but not required
- Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply
