Production Technician
Location: Newport News, VA Area
Pay Rate: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shifts Available: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift
Job Overview
We are currently seeking dependable and motivated Production Technicians to join a growing team in the Newport News area. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in warehouse operations, manufacturing, production, assembly, machine operation, packaging, shipping/receiving, or general labor. Candidates who are eager to learn, work in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to a team-oriented operation are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform production, assembly, packaging, and material handling tasks as assigned
- Operate equipment and machinery safely and efficiently following company procedures
- Inspect products and materials to ensure quality standards are met
- Load, unload, sort, and move materials throughout the facility
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and production schedules
- Accurately complete production and inventory-related documentation
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals
- Assist with additional warehouse and production duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, production, assembly, logistics, or related environment preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial or warehouse environment
