Mechanical Inspector-Small Motor Shop
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm
Pay: Starting at $20/hour; increases based on relevant experience and department evaluation
Job Responsibilities
- Perform independent peer inspections.
- Verify as-found component drawings for manufacturing.
- Create basic sketch drawings of components, including bushings, sleeves, and shaft keys.
- Accurately complete required paperwork.
- Support other machine shop tasks when not performing inspections.
Qualifications
- Experience using mechanical measurement tools, including micrometers, scales, and vernier/dial calipers.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from drawings, blueprints, and sketches.
- Ability to create basic hand drawings of components.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to safely operate equipment, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and stand, stoop, or kneel for extended periods.
- Availability for overtime as needed, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays, to support a 24/7/365 service operation.
- Dependable attendance and availability.
- Positive attitude and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
