Position Overview
The Sanitation Associate I is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing food processing equipment and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized production environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring food safety and operational efficiency.
Essential Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize food processing equipment according to company standards
- Perform custodial duties throughout the facility
- Wash dishes and maintain sanitation areas
- Clean production areas using industrial cleaning equipment
- Sweep floors, use squeegees, and assist with general facility cleanup
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of production spaces
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and according to guidelines
- Follow all PPE and safety requirements
- Support overall facility housekeeping and sanitation efforts
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- 0-3 years of relevant experience
- Janitorial or sanitation experience preferred
- Experience handling cleaning chemicals
- Knowledge of proper PPE use
- Experience using industrial cleaning equipment
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Basic arithmetic skills
- Strong attendance and reliability
