Powder Room Operator
Location: Westminster, MD
Shift: 1st Shift | 5:30 AM - 3:00 PM (9/80 Schedule, Off every other Friday)
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Powder Room Operator to support material blending and production operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating and monitoring mixing equipment, maintaining quality standards, following safety procedures, and ensuring accurate production documentation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor machines used for mixing and blending materials.
- Ensure consistency and quality throughout the mixing process.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and address potential issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow established safety procedures when handling chemicals and production materials.
- Support compliance with company quality standards and operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or production experience preferred.
- Experience operating blending, mixing, or processing equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant vocational or technical training is a plus.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to chemical handling is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, masks, gloves, and lab coats as needed.
