HR Compensation & Benefits Specialist (Temporary)
📍 Virginia Beach, VA | 💼 Human Resources | 🕒 3–6 Month Assignment
💰 Pay: $30-$40 per hour (based on experience)
PeopleShare is seeking an experienced HR Compensation & Benefits Specialist for a short-term assignment supporting benefits administration, compensation programs, employee inquiries, and HR compliance initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA/HSA, and 401(k) benefits
- Process enrollments, life event changes, and terminations
- Support compensation activities including salary changes, promotions, and merit reviews
- Partner with vendors and payroll to resolve employee issues
- Assist with compliance, audits, reporting, and HR data analysis
- Serve as a resource for employee benefits and compensation questions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 2–5 years of HR experience focused on Benefits, Compensation, and HRIS
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, UKG, or Oracle
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
- Knowledge of benefits administration, compensation practices, and HR compliance
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and customer service skills
