Assembler / Production Associate
Job Title: Assembler
Location: Point of Rocks, Maryland
Schedule: Full-Time, Overtime Available
Position Summary
Our client is seeking a dependable Assembler to join their manufacturing team. In this role, you will assemble products, operate equipment, and support production operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and willing to work at various stations as production needs change.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble components and parts according to production specifications.
- Bolt, clip, screw, cement, or otherwise fasten parts together.
- Cut materials and products to required measurements.
- Inspect products and remove defective items as needed.
- Operate machines performing fastening and assembly functions.
- Move between workstations based on production requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- No prior education or experience required.
- Previous carpentry or construction experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to read and understand basic instructions.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and communicate effectively.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Comfortable working overtime when needed.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently use hands for handling and assembling materials.
- Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Lift and move:
- Up to 25 lbs continuously
- Up to 50 lbs frequently (Team Lift)
- Up to 100 lbs occasionally (Team Lift)
- Ability to work around moving machinery and in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
- Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment requiring hearing and eye protection.
