Forklift Operators – Joliet/Elwood, IL – Temp‑to‑Hire – 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift
Position Overview
Join a large, high‑volume industrial parts distribution facility supporting nationwide operations. You’ll work in a fast‑paced environment handling inbound and outbound freight, loading and unloading heavy industrial components, and operating sit‑down and stand‑up forklifts. This is a temp‑to‑hire position offering long‑term stability for reliable, skilled operators.
Shifts & Pay
1st Shift – Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, $18.50/hr
2nd Shift – Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, $19.00/hr
3rd Shift – Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM, $19.50/hr
40 hours weekly with overtime opportunities during the week and occasional Saturdays.

Job Responsibilities
Forklift Operation — Safely operate sit‑down and stand‑up forklifts
Loading & Unloading — Move, stage, and store industrial parts
Warehouse Safety — Follow PPE rules, equipment guidelines, and facility procedures
Quality & Accuracy — Ensure correct part handling, labeling, and placement
Team Coordination — Work with leads and operators to meet daily goals
Requirements
Must operate both sit‑down and stand‑up forklifts
Must pass a forklift assessment
Steel‑toe shoes required
Must attend all onboarding steps:
Facility walk‑through: Mondays at 11:30 AM
Orientation: Tuesdays at 9:00 AM
First full day of work: Wednesdays
Ability to lift and handle heavy industrial parts
Reliable attendance and ability to work Monday–Friday schedule
Work Environment
This is a high‑volume industrial distribution center with constant forklift activity, large parts, and structured workflow. Operators work in a safety‑driven, team‑oriented environment focused on accuracy and efficiency.
