Wiring Technician Team Lead
Location: Hanover, MD

Pay Rate: $22.00 – $28.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Overtime available as needed
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Wiring Technician Team Lead to oversee daily operations and support electrical installation projects in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for leading a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and maintaining compliance with safety and electrical standards.
This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for candidates with a strong electrical background and proven supervisory experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of wiring technicians and apprentices
- Assign daily tasks and monitor progress to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards
- Perform and oversee electrical wiring installations for systems and related equipment
- Install conduit, wiring, junction boxes, inverters, and service panels
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and installation issues
- Ensure all work complies with NEC codes, local regulations, and industry standards
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the installation process
- Enforce OSHA and company safety protocols at all times
- Lead daily safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure efficient workflow and communication
- Track project progress, report challenges, and support continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in electrical systems, power distribution, switchgear, or field service
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience in a related environment
- Strong knowledge of NEC, UL, and NEMA standards
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent
- Experience with solar installations (PV systems and storage)
- NABCEP certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience with panel upgrades or similar electrical work
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout large production spaces
- Comfortable working in an active industrial or warehouse environment
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts (as needed)
- Use of PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe footwear
