Title: HR Generalist
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7AM - 4PM
Pay: $23-$25/hr
Location: On-site in Chesapeake, VA
Job Overview
We are currently seeking an HR Generalist for a temporary 3‑month assignment to help triage critical HR tasks and support day‑to‑day operations during a high‑volume period. At the end of the assignment, business needs will be evaluated to determine whether an extension is appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
Support recruiting efforts, including job postings, scheduling interviews, and candidate communication
Assist with onboarding and new hire documentation
Maintain accurate employee records and update HR systems
Respond to employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and general questions
Track leave requests (FMLA/ADA) and support HR processes
Support compliance efforts by maintaining documentation and tracking deadlines
Assist with payroll data entry and timesheet validation as needed
Coordinate training sessions and track completion
Provide general administrative support to the HR team
Qualifications
0–2 years of HR or administrative experience
Basic knowledge of HR processes and employment practices preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
