Customer Service Representative
Location: Aurora, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $24–$26 per hour (DOE)

A long‑standing manufacturing company specializing in industrial gas cylinders, cryogenic tanks, and pressure‑containment equipment. The facility supports production, repair, quality control, and logistics operations, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and exceptional customer support.
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Customer Service Representative to support daily administrative and customer service operations. This role interacts with customers, internal sales teams, and logistics to process orders, provide product information, and ensure smooth communication across departments.
Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls, direct messages, and assist walk‑in customers.
Process phone and walk‑in orders; coordinate billing and notify customers when orders are ready for pickup.
Create quotes and sales orders in QuickBooks; upsell additional products or services when appropriate.
Work closely with Regional Sales Managers on inventory availability, troubleshooting, and order status updates.
Maintain compliance and tracking of cylinder serial numbers; provide documentation to customers as needed.
Complete RMA forms and customer complaint documentation.
Assist with general administrative tasks to keep customer records and office operations organized.
Coordinate with the Logistics team for shipping quotes and bulk tank deliveries.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
1–2 years of customer service or administrative experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and Excel required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Reliable, accountable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to make sound decisions.
Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle difficult situations professionally.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work well with diverse personalities and maintain positive working relationships.
Strong time‑management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
